My great grandfather built this shearing shed back in the late 1800s and it gave me great pride to discover his creation. Seeing his handiwork gave me insight into a man I had never known and a link to my past. Natural oils from innumerable fleeces have enhanced the natural texture and colour of the wood. Shearing season is over and the shed lays resting , but an eerie presence remains. Its as if the shed awaits the return of its heroes and the burst of life that comes with their competitive energy.
